Chinese anime (donghua I believe). Don’t want to give too many details as I would want y’all to go in as blind as possible but this was one of the biggest gems of the Spring 2021 season. If you know who E.D.Anime is he absolutely loved this series. only 12 eps (eps 1-11 but there is an ep 5.5). Chinese title is Shiguang Daili Ren.
