Mamoru Hosoda is one of the most well known Japanese directors for animated films. He’s got a new movie coming out in stateside theaters in around a week called “Belle”. Not sure when or if it’ll come to a streaming service, but his older works are worth watching: “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time”, “Summer Wars”, “Wolf Children”, “The Boy and the Beast”, and “Mirai”.
