It’s what you get when you cross SAO with Overlord. There is a VRMMORPG that trap it’s players in a death game. When the MC defeats the final boss everyone else logs off, but before the MC can log off a door opens and the MC finds himself isekai’d into the game world 500 years in the future. Story wise I’d say it’s a case where the writer was intending to just write some generic fun isekai trash but their skills were too good and ended up creating a very interesting world/story instead. I think it would be right up your alley.
