It is still the series with the 2nd highest viewership in Korean TV history (even higher than Queen of Tears!), it won a ton of awards, and of course Song Joong Ki has one of the most active foreign fanbases! This is in my opinion Song Joong Ki’s best drama (from Vincenzo and Descendants of the Sun–but I promise this is better!).
This drama is a chaebol/corporate drama like you’ve never seen, a little bit like Itaewon Class with a deep revenge plot but full of even messier characters, crazy plot twists, and a superstar acting cast. I think it’s also a good way to learn more about some key points in modern Korean history and society and the way chaebols have influenced it! It’s not super brainy but it does make you think c: The protagonist is insanely smart, you guys will like him.
It’s the best chaebol drama that’s ever been made, imo, everyone in the Kdrama world was absolutely hooked when it was airing. I really want to reveal the premise, but…it’s a huge spoiler. You should just know it’s a thriller to the end c: Watch out for the end of the 1st episode 😉
