GinTama is majorly a comedy/parody anime with a wide range of lovable caste and unparalleled comedy. It’s setup in the late edo period of 1800s, but Earth was colonized by aliens so it’s basically samurai with modern technology. The mc is Gintoki a samurai with post war PTSD, a person who cares about how to pay next month’s rent rather than having an end goal.
It’s a comedy show but it also has it’s serious action arcs which will make you cry. Overall it’s a perfect package and a perfect anime.
