It’s a series following a different version/history of Batman villains and how they came to be. So there is no Batman yet and follows some of the self discovery. Admittedly it’s not very comic accurate and has a lot of stuff that may go against established different canons but it’s a fun watch and it explore the characters well enough for the enjoyment of people not all that familiar with the characters. Additionally, it still follows the seriousness of live action Batman series, even if not completely canon and not to my personal liking, but it makes it familiar to people not invested in the comics or just casual fans. Just know general it’s a fun watch if a bit cringy at times but i would really like to see how your guy’s reaction to it and different things about it, especially because of certain plot point and somewhat over arching story lines.
Ps. Personally the ages in the show kill me because of how old they make some character in the end and how it would have affected the addition of comic characters. So I’d say to take everything won’t a grain of salt.
