Fun fact, by the way, Guillermo del Toro was planning to make a live-action series of this for HBO (it got greenlit but never went past the development process; HBO wanted to make changes to the script and del Toro wanted to be faithful to the manga, I think).

from what i hear, toro is currently looking for a different platform he can put the series on, while he’s doing his other movie projects
