I think you should watch Go Ahead (2020)! It’s a Chinese drama about three children from troubled family backgrounds who grow up together and become a family even though they aren’t related by blood. But as they get older, their childhood trauma, complicated family relationships, separation, and romantic feelings start testing the bond they’ve built.
What makes this drama so interesting is that it’s not just about who ends up with whom. It’s about how your childhood shapes you, how people learn to love when they’ve experienced abandonment, and how family isn’t always defined by blood. It has comedy, romance, friendship, emotional scenes, and characters who actually have layers to them. One minute you’re laughing at their family interactions, and the next you’re emotionally invested in what they’re going through.
I especially think you’d have a lot to talk about when it comes to the characters, their relationships, and the way their past affects their decisions. If you enjoy dramas that make you laugh, cry, get frustrated, and become attached to fictional characters, I’d definitely recommend giving Go Ahead a chance! 😭❤️
